Cropping your digital pictures

Cropping your digital pictures is the art of zooming in on one particular part of your digital pictures and cutting the exact part of the picture you require. Often this creates a whole new picture, or heightens the quality of the original picture as it removes an unwanted background.

Cropiing your digital pictures is also very useful if you take a lot of pictures of people. Cropping allows you to get extreme close ups of the person your are photographing. Sometimes this is not possible with normal camera products. This provides untold improvements to your pictures and will most likely be closer to your original expectation with the picture.

Not all digital camera software packages allow you to crop your digital pictures, this is because it is considered an advanced editing feature. However, if you take a lot of pictures and are in the habit of editing and improving your pictures, you'll probably benefit from using a cropping tool.

The most well known product which allows cropping your digital pictures is Adobe Photoshop. It also provides lots of additional features which are not described here.
